This information is recorded on the build sheet that will be specific to this engine and supplied to the customer.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-item last-3\">\n<figure class=\"builder-gallery-image\" style=\"background-image: url(&#039;http:\/\/sp-dragracing.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/bearing-sheet.png&#039;);\"><\/figure>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-content\">\n<h4 class=\"builder-gallery-title\">\n\t\t\t\t\tBearing selection\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-description\">\n<p>Dependent on the the use for which the engine is intended, and the information previously recorded, the required bearing thicknesses are calculated to provide the necessary oil clearances at the crankshaft main bearings and big ends.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-item last-2\">\n<figure class=\"builder-gallery-image\" style=\"background-image: url(&#039;http:\/\/sp-dragracing.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/20140928_223053-1024x768.jpg&#039;);\"><\/figure>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-content\">\n<h4 class=\"builder-gallery-title\">\n\t\t\t\t\tAssembly Preparation\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-description\">\n<p>All the component parts to be re-used are cleaned and re-assembled. Valves are lapped into their respective seats.<\/p>\n<p>New gaskets, oil seals, assembly lubricants and the other new parts required are gathered together. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-item\">\n<figure class=\"builder-gallery-image\" style=\"background-image: url(&#039;http:\/\/sp-dragracing.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/20130816_195923smaller-1024x768.jpg&#039;);\"><\/figure>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-content\">\n<h4 class=\"builder-gallery-title\">\n\t\t\t\t\tTrial Assembly\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-description\">\n<p>The engine is trial assembled so that clearances can be checked, this includes:<br \/>\nPiston Deck Height<br \/>\nOil clearances<br \/>\nRing end gaps<br \/>\nValve to piston clearance at the required valve timing<br \/>\nValve tappet clearances<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-item last-3 last-2\">\n<figure class=\"builder-gallery-image\" style=\"background-image: url(&#039;http:\/\/sp-dragracing.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/20140602_192715@75-1024x768.jpg&#039;);\"><\/figure>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-content\">\n<h4 class=\"builder-gallery-title\">\n\t\t\t\t\tFinal Build\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n<div class=\"builder-gallery-description\">\n<p>After all fit and clearances are acceptable the engine is finally assembled with new gaskets.  Cam timing is checked\/set and the valve clearances re-checked.
