Super Street Spec Drag Bike – 2016 & 2017 ACU Competition Bike championship winner




The bike was built to be compliant with Super Street regulations, running a 68″ wheelbase and a street tyre. A new Garrett GT35R based front end was fitted for the 2017 season with a view to setting the bike up to run in the Super Street class in 2018. The Initial tune saw the bike run a best time of 7.65 @ 180mph with a 1.28 sec 60 ft. There is tremendous potential for this machine to run low 7 second passes utilising the chargecooler and a more aggressive tune.


Gen 1 chassis with cut seat rails, 1″ pullback yokes with shortened forks, McIntosh Aluminium swingarm with hugger, JRI Remote Reservoir Drag shock. Frame mounted rearset footrests, adjustable ride height, Hayabusa rear wheel, 16″ Fireblade front wheel with Shinko ZR rated front tyre, twin disc rotors and 6 pot calipers.  Cut radiator, silicon hoses, Pneumatic gear shift with fuel cut.  Swingarm mounted Ice/water tank for chargecooler with electric pump (not yet used)


Owen Developments GT3582R with billet compressor wheel, BigCC Stainless headers with swept Wastegate port (no boost creep), Tial Wastegate. 2.5″ up-pipe to BigCC plenum with chargecooler and side mounted Tial BOV. BigCC engine driven oil scavenge pump.

Carrillo H-beam connecting rods, Wossner Turbo pistons, 12mm dia. cylinder bolts, Heavy Duty Crankcase studs and nuts. 65lb Carpenter valve springs with steel retainers. Intake camshaft on exhaust side with adjustable cam gears. High volume oil pump gear, high pressure relief valve, windage tray and baffled sump pan.  Hays three arm two stage RPM driven clutch. Tool steel shift shafts.

Fuelling, boost control & ignition:

Bosch 044 fuel pump, billet fuel rail, 1000cc Bosch injectors, Aeromotive billet fuel pressure regulator, underseat fuel cell. Remapped 32bit ECU with Power Commander 5 fuelling computer mapped for RPM/Boost pressure.

3 Bar MAP sensor for logging and fuelling control, NLR AMS1000 boost controller.

Dynatek ARC-2 CDI unit with Hayabusa specific loom, which provides an adjustable 2 step for launch control

Data Logging:

Cougar SD card data logger capturing Engine RPM, Speed, Fuel pressure, Boost, IAT, A/F ratio, Oil pressure, Coolant temp, Voltage, gear, Acceleration, Clutch switch.

Tech Edge Wide Band Lamda controller with Bosch LSU sensor.

PRICE £12,950

This will include a fully refreshed engine (which can include different parts if required), a new DRZ2 racing chain and new Shinko rear tyre, so fuel it up and you are ready to go!

I will be happy to attend a couple of meetings to help familiarise the new owner and assist with set-up.

This is a race bike, not a show bike – it has been sympathetically maintained, but there are some rough bits that do not detract from it’s performance! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like some more photographs.
